Metra 7235: Bilevel car (stainless steel), Numbers: 7257-7280, Type: Coach, Builder: Budd, Built: 1974, Notes: ex NWSMTD ex 342-365. Cars 7257-7280 and 8225-8236 have always been owned by NWSMTD [Northwest Suburban Mass Transit District], although they originally were lettered and numbered for the Milwaukee Road. The Budd built cars can appear on any Metra diesel line, except the Burlington Northern Santa Fe, regardless of present or prior ownership. The Budd built cars also generally do not operate on the North Central Service. On the Union Pacific lines, most cars are ex C&NW built by Pullman-Standard, but a few Budd cars are used.
