Metra 3006 Maintenance of way modified box car in the Roosevelt Road Yard. Note the row of cut brackets along the centerline of the roof, suggesting that it once had a roof walk, since cut off to comply with FRA safety rules. The steel bridge [top] formerly carried pedestrian traffic. It is now closed, and the largely-wooden bridge from which this photgraph was taken provides access to the station and lakefront.
