Galewood Yard

Image Not Available

Harold Kept many of his photos on sites which no longer exist.

Circus Train tied-down in the Galewood rail yard (far left), looking west and down from the Central Avenue bridge. It is a busy place, with a stopped westbound freight, an oncoming (eastbound) freight locomitive in the distance, a tied-down "pig" (piggyback) train, and to our right a westbound Metra bilevel commuter train is pulling into the Hanson Park station.
