The Minneapolis and St. Louis railroad was acquired by the Chicago & North Western railroad. More recently they were acquired by the Union Pacific railroad. The C&NW continued to use the MSTL reporting mark for some MOW (maintenance of way) cars, and the Union Pacific continues that practice.
The official World Wide Web site of the Union Pacific railroad, the successor railroad of the C&NW merger, is at http://www.uprr.com. The Chicago & North Western Historical Society World Wide Web site is at http://www.cnwhs.org.
Photos and maps of the M&StL can be found at Lyndon's M&StL and C&NW Railroad site.
